Perhaps we should be talking of outboard motor
inaction. On recent outings, the Bloke has experienced some worries getting the outboard motor going. Annoyingly, the motor would start but then splutter and stop when put into gear. Then there was the getting into gear that seemed troubled; especially reverse. A bit or WD40 did assist to free things but something was still not right. Since the dinghy and outboard are a critical element for socialising in the evenings when out on a mooring or when on anchor, the outboard must operate flawlessly. Night time dinghy drama needs to be avoided at all costs.
Man at work.
Awesome op-shop overalls.
My workshop Poster-Boy!
I became a 'barrel girl' when I had to dive into drum to retrieve these dropped items.
Faced with a few days on a jetty due to successive forecasts of 30-40knots and the availability of some land based workshop space, it seems to be a constructive use of time. The Bloke has offered to assist with a computer problem in return for the use of facilities. Thus the world will be balanced!
