Cats foot disease

Boat owners suffer from a disease called 'foot disease'. Urchin and Easy Tiger got a major dose while we were in Streaky Bay. The fist symptoms began after the evening arrival of a Fontaine Pajot Salina 48 into Streaky Bay.

The photo below is what this disease can 'look like' for a 40' catamaran owner.

Longyard  - a 48' Fontaine Pajot Salina

The owners of this substantial catamaran arrived just on dusk and raced off to the pub for dinner. The next morning they were helped with a Gerry Can water top-up by the Bloke (as ring leader), B1 and Steve. For their troubles, the boys were rewarded with a quick tour. The Bloke declined and left the Catty folk to deal with their foot envy on their own.

The Owners had picked up their craft from France themselves and then sailed her home with a toddler and by now, extra baby on board. They were now en route to Ceduna to collect a crew of mates for the sail across The Bight to their Esperance destination and for the Mum and bubs to be dropped off to drive across the Nullabor. A good trade apparently!

All things considered it was a good thing that Longyard stayed for less than 24 hours else that foot disease would have really taken a hold on the crews of Urchin and Easy Tiger.
Luckily, the foot disease dissipated with the rapid departure of Longyard

PS compare this with images of Urchin... think 'Cat Vs Kitten'
