Nine of Cups

Not into Tarot Cards? Me neither, so I had to look this one up and this is a meaning that Mr Google helped us with.

Nine of Cups Tarot Card Meanings tarot card meaningNine of Cups Tarot Card Meanings and Description

In Nine of Cups, a portly, middle-aged man sits upon a wooden bench with his arms crossed in contentment. He is dressed smartly and wears an expression of true satisfaction on his face and his red head-dress symbolises an active mind. Behind him is a wall with nine golden cups arranged in a structured, well-organised arch. The man enjoys success both materially and spiritually and represents the fulfilment realised after the accomplishment of our deepest desires. (www.biddytarot.com)

In the material world, here is Nine of Cups  - a 46' Liberty cutter.

David and Marcie arrived in Streaky Bay to deliver us a real treat and are heading west across 'The Bight'. Unlike Longyard the week before, 'Cups' as the owners called her, would still be in Streaky Bay as we were leaving and we took this photo at dawn.

Coming close to the end of a circumnavigation of the world that will conclude when they reach Cape Town, David and Marcie have called Nine of Cups home for 14 years! How lucky were we to meet them on this epic journey that has included a circumnavigation of South America. They told us that there is so much still to be seen, even after they have 'tied the knot'. There are still South East Asia and The Med to be visited!

Our jaunt around Oz seems quite pedestrian by comparison with the ambitions of these seasoned sailors. So many stories and alas not enough time to hear even a fraction. We'll never get anywhere if we don't leave Streaky Bay...and very soon .... but thanks for your advice and encouragement guys!

If you'd like to read more about David and Marcie's journey they are Olympic class bloggers .. see

Enjoy!
