The weather has been as predicted by Predictwind which is very reassuring. We will be heading off in about 1 hour for Esperance. It will be an overnight passage and if there is any break in the cloud cover we should have a large moon for most of the night. The lightning show last night was over the land and far out to sea and we finished up having a reasonable night on anchor after we did a 180 degree direction switch at dusk. We are not sure what will be revealed when we raise the anchor. the Anchor Buoy was knocking against our hull for part of the night so it would indicate that our chain didn't get stretched out in a new direction. ????? boondie? We'll know in less than an hour. The ship has been secured and we are getting into our Musto kit... thermals etc.... I know that many of you have been sweltering in Perth and think that might be odd. Even Ravensthorpe had 46 yesterday. So much milder on the water.
We have arranged for a pen in Esperance Bay Yacht Club. Lucky for us a 45' yacht is away for repairs and the pen available for us. The Bloke is almost beside himself at the prospect of a full night of sleep! Whoopee. We should arrive before midday tomorrow.
Congrats on reaching Esperance
